Maggie Mackenzie Hooven, DO

Dr. Maggie Hooven is a general pediatrician who is joining the Advocare team after completing her Pediatric Residency at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. She earned her medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences after graduating from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, where she studied Biology and Biochemistry. She is also a Certified Lactation Counselor and has a special interest in supporting new parents, particularly with breastfeeding and early infant care. 

Dr. Hooven enjoys caring for children of all ages and values building strong relationships with families as their children grow and develop. She is passionate about being a lifelong learner and loves sharing her knowledge with parents, so they feel confident navigating each stage of childhood. Outside of the office, Dr. Hooven enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring the city, reading, painting, and working on puzzles.
