Carol Kaminski, M.A. – CCC is a Certified/Licensed Speech/Language Pathologist who specializes in working with children. The focus of her practice is to maximize children’s communication potential through activities that are fun and functional.
Carol offers speech and language evaluations and treatment to address needs in the areas of articulation, expressive and receptive language, pragmatic language (social skills), and phonemic awareness. She communicates with parents and other care providers, including teachers, to assure that goals are being addressed across all environments. Carol is also available to support parents through the process of a speech IEP/IFSP that are offered through Early Intervention Services or The School District of Philadelphia.
In addition, Carol offers a screening to determine if speech services are warranted as well as to offer parents techniques that they can use at home to enhance their child’s communication efficiency. This brief, 45 minute quick screen will include an informal assessment of your child’s speech sound production, language comprehension and expressive communication skills. You may want to consider a speech/language screening if you have concerns regarding your child’s communication abilities or he/she is not meeting the age expected milestones. The fee is $75.00 and scheduling is often within 1-2 weeks.
Carol has worked in schools throughout the region for over 40 years. She has been an adjunct professor at both Temple and LaSalle Universities.
